A new Scorpio website is under construction. This will give our customers the facility, amongst many new features, to utilise their own live purchasing platform. Due date - November 2013.
More news as and when developments proceed.
Given our current economic climate which is having a significant impact on business and public sector spending restrictions, it is clearly no wonder why more and more of our clients are utilising the HYTEC brand of alternative ink and toner cartridge range as opposed to spending their budget on costly OEM brands.
We are please to announce that our sales throughout the first quarter of 2013 are up by 53% by clients switching to the HYTEC brand as their preferred choice of brand.
This increase has lead to Scorpio becoming the largest European dealer of HYTEC products by March 2013.
This is excellent news for us and also for our clients, meaning that the choices are widening and the prices in some cases are dropping.

Well done to our sales team for securing yet another NHS contract for IT consumables which begins in June 2012 and indeed our many thanks go out to all parties concerned within the process.

Good luck to Samantha and Nick Lazenby who are skydiving from over 10,000 feet on 30th June this year to raise money for a local charity, Overgate Hospice.

In August 2010, Scorpio UK decided to take a collaborative view to change the way the company was structured, the way it dealt with it's staff and customers, it's service levels and indeed the very soul of the business was evaluated. The business had many flaws within it's structure and had dead wood, weakening the very frame of it's existance.
Fast forward to December 2011 and what an entirely different, refreshed business Scorpio UK is.
The business now benefits from new, state of the art sales platforms, online ordering facilities are imminent and will be linked to this site shortly, a new more sophisticated accountancy software is firmly in place and we have also introduced an online stationary, hardware and accessories facility to offer our clients more than just printer supplies.
In addition to this, we focused heavily on the training of our existing staff and have brought together a truly unique and extremely professional body of people who represent the best in our industry which is clearly evident by the fact that the business is far more professional, efficient and financially stronger than it has been in recent years.
We have concentrated heavily on our customer base throughout 2011, more and more have become contracted to Scorpio UK now and our NHS database has swollen dramatically throughout the year.
In November 2011 we were awarded one of the largest NHS consortiums contracts in the UK, fighting off all competition to win the platform of the sole supplier to the consortium, having spent the past 3 years sharing the contract with a competitor.
Within our NHS database, we have also witnessed a slow shift from supply chain procurement to Scorpio UK as an independent supplier, this is due to the fact that we are now utilising European dealerships to allow us to compete at far more competitive levels than ever before instead of relying heavily on the UK dealers for OEM products.
We were also awarded 2 further major contracts within the UK Public Sector in December 2011, placing Scorpio UK amongst the best in terms of commercial viability and sustainability within our industry, which is some achievement in our current UK economic situation.
Another huge boost to our planning was the implementation of our dealership with HYTEC INKS in late 2010. We had previously been providing our customers with good alternative brands of ink and toner cartridges for many years yet, were having quality issues that needed to be rectified.
Since we have been promoting the HYTEC range, we have successfully changed a huge majority of our customers over to the brand as opposed to using the OEM equivalents and not only is the HYTEC range the ultimate unrivalled brand in terms of quality, page yield and print clarity, the savings being made by our customers is absolutely phenominal and set to rise much further in 2012, something that no other supplier of alternative ink and toner cartridges can genuinely boast.
